Who we are?

Signature Safeguarding was founded and established by Christina Leath – a highly innovative and proactive registered nurse, Health Visitor and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of knowledge, skills and expertise and a subject matter expert in safeguarding adults and children.

Christina Leath

I am a strong strategic leader who has actively developed, delivered and embedded robust safeguarding systems, processes and procedures with expertise, knowledge and direction across a plethora of sectors.

As a senior safeguarding leader with 20 years of experience, I am an accomplished and committed professional with a specialism in the safeguarding agenda. My career to date has provided me with the privileged opportunity to have worked across most settings, including:

• Various national and international executive and director safeguarding roles
• Experience in Health, Education, Charity, Commissioning, Independent Sector, Sports Sector, Third Sector and Housing Sector experience
• Education sector experience – Subject Matter Expert for The National Education Group and National Online Safety.
• Senior NED for British Dodgeball
• Panel Wing Member and Panel Chair Person for the National Safeguarding Review Panel with the Football Association.
• Arbitration and mediation panel member for Sport Resolutions

I am open, honest and committed to ensuring that children and adults at risk and their families are central to decision making. I am dedicated to engaging and collaborating with organisations to ensure safeguarding remains at the forefront, making sure every contact counts whilst empowering your workforce to support and advocate for the most vulnerable. I am very proud of my achievements to date, successfully securing improvements and raising the profile of safeguarding across all sectors. I am driven and motivated to lead others in ensuring high-quality safeguarding is delivered and embedded and take great pride in the continued success of this work.
